I don’t have faith for one second we can increasingly rely on nuclear power....because shortcuts will be made. Maybe 7 years ago my answer may have been different but not now.

People are going to be people regardless of the year and regardless of whether it's nuclear energy, coal, or something else.

The point is, nuclear energy isn't any less safe than coal and actually causes less pollution.
