t-dot till they bury me
I wouldn't say I understand the math, but it's essentially taking differentiation and integration as linear operators and raising those powers to arbitrary amounts.

If you look at his published works: https://www.researchgate.net/scientific-contributions/Abdon-Atangana-2034625706
There are a lot of really varied topics that he's a secondary author on.

That clarifies it for me

second best dude in math on the planet is an african
So is the richest man too.:troll:

i can't believe this isn't big news :gucci:

not even africans seem to care

But in all seriousness, i think Africans (and other oldworlders) have a very local view of their people. A black person from Mozambique really feels no more allegiance or admiration towards that cameroonian mathematician than they do to dangote as a nigerian industrialist. They are all foreign to him. Hell, africans within the same country are hesitant to claim the accomplishments of rival ethnic groups. For example , an english speaking cameroinian would probably spit on that mathematician breh's face based on their current conflict with french speaking cameroonians.

I think the only exception is maybe world cup season, when a kenyan, ghanain, and nigerian will claim random africans on a soccer team(think france in last world cup).

you can compare it to how a white canadian couldnt give a damn about the accomplishments of a white italian scientist or an irish silicon valley billionaire because of his own nationality/ethnic differences. Race is irrelevant.

America is a strange place in that it forces a global view of race , in a way which is unatural in other places. You see it elsewhere in the US where loosely related people are arbitrarily grouped together for ideological goals. Think of how southern white conservatives went half way accross the world to congratulate the hungarian victor orban. Or think of how a random nonsense grouping like "latinx" groups hispanics that have nothing in common, besides spanish.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
Mathematics was created in Africa
From 3000 BC the Mesopotamian states of Sumer, Akkad and Assyria, followed closely by Ancient Egypt and the Levantine state of Ebla began using arithmetic, algebra and geometry for purposes of taxation, commerce, trade and also in the patterns in nature, the field of astronomy and to record time and formulate calendars.

It is important to be aware of the character of the sources for the study of the history of mathematics. The history of Mesopotamian and Egyptian mathematics is based on the extant original documents written by scribes. Although in the case of Egypt these documents are few, they are all of a type and leave little doubt that Egyptian mathematics was, on the whole, elementary and profoundly practical in its orientation. For Mesopotamian mathematics, on the other hand, there are a large number of clay tablets, which reveal mathematical achievements of a much higher order than those of the Egyptians. The tablets indicate that the Mesopotamians had a great deal of remarkable mathematical knowledge, although they offer no evidence that this knowledge was organized into a deductive system. Future research may reveal more about the early development of mathematics in Mesopotamia or about its influence on Greek mathematics, but it seems likely that this picture of Mesopotamian mathematics will stand.

Respect your opinion, but completely disagree. The concept of Pan Africanism is and has been an actual thing, from before decolonization started on the continent.
Especially in academic quarters.

Don't confuse YTer-isms with real life.
People have different day to day concerns and priorities that make them focus on self and group, but the academy in the continent and across the diaspora makes note of major distinctions and awards won by Black people in their fields.
