At full capacity, the facility's trio of 450-foot high towers produces a gross total of 392 megawatts (MW) of solar power, enough electricity to provide 140,000 California homes with clean energy
thats enough electricity to power the entire city of oakland. if you scale it up x3 its enough to power san francisco.

wonder how many we can build out there in the desert

this is a map of the usa at night to show the kind of energy demand/land availability we are looking at for building these facilities throughout the entire southwest. it looks well inside the range of feasibility to scale these facilities up in this region to supply all the electrical needs to all major metro areas from san francisco to houston. absolutely no shortage of available land or sunlight here
