No. No matter how fast the drive is, USB willbe the limiting factor.

The USB cable can't transfer info as fast as the hardwired stuff in the Xbox or PS.

im saying is there an external SSD out there that i can buy thats as fast as the series X's SSD...if there isnt any im surprised...but i do know there are external ssd's out there shyt if they're faster than a regular HDD ill use itI don't think so. If so, he can let me know and I'll let him know.

From what I’ve seen on both systems I believe the answer is no. You can use external to store games but it won’t be as fast as internal. If you get the memory card for the x it’ll be as fast as internal though.
