They need a way to differentiate the games that will be adding ray tracing or targeting 120fps since it would be pretty easy for a dev to just take the Xbox One X build and just set the max res and framerate values to 4k and 60fps and call it a day since a lot of games will be cross gen/cross buy.

That's not to mention the 8 AM start time on the west coast...and they're a west coast company.
The US is by far their biggest market and they're doing this on a Thursday morning.

On another note and I know MANY will disagree but Gears needs a long ass rest similar to what Halo got. I don't wanna see Gears before 4-5 years....
