Biggest mistake baseball made was make all these open field stadiums kills the vibe horrendously. Went to wrigley this year and fukking loved it reminded me off going to the old Yankee stadium. That's all I'll say because I have like 600 posts talking shyt about the stadium.

What does that mean?:dahell:

Wrigley and Fenway had the benefit of not being able to really relocate anywhere else that was desirable, so they had to gut their stadiums every off season and start over
Stadiums where it's Bowl shaped so yes your building has more concessions and bathrooms and stuff, but the fans are farther away and the stadiums are then not as loud. Older stadiums, you're on top of the sections below you so you're higher but you're just as close as the lower level seats.
Really although camden yards was nice, baseball/football teams sharing was much more fun. May not be the best stadiums, but whats the point of all these manicured ballparks if they aren't half full?

For the Yankees, one of the most prestigious sports franchises in the world, gaining a foothold with younger fans has proved particularly difficult, especially in a period in which the team has lost its championship gloss, failing to secure a postseason berth in three of the last four years.

I don't think this id an issue. Yankee fans are basically passed down from parents to kid. I think oncw they start winning again, the "hats" will come back.

It's like the Red Sox have "fans" everywhere

some teams have made their seating capacity smaller, like the Marlins, and teams like the Red Sox and Cubs can only fit but so much in their ballparks. It looked much worse when baseball and football teams shared stadiums because when the football team ain't there, you gotta tarp so much of the stadium, like in Oakland.

and make no mistake. The Yankees were an insanely major draw for about 8 years or so (in that they'd sell out every seat and draw 3 mil a year). Even during the last dynasty, fans were too scared to come to Yankee Stadium, especially during the week

We got 27 championships!!! is the response to everything.20 of those titles were before dr king was assassinated.

This is weak the bulls have won 3 championships in the last 20 years. In reality they haven't done jack since 1998 yankees aren't too far off from that

2000 and 2009 the only titles this millennium.
You're responding to yourself.

Yankee especially in here, aren't on that corny shyt.

fukk outta here.

I like Camden Yards but I blame that stadium for why a lot of these new ballparks are trash. They tried to take from it but failed. I gotta give it up to Citifield though they give off the vibe of a party. With Mcfaddens and those party sections that are affordable for big groups you feel like your in for a good nightt with the new yankee stadium it feels to bougie. Even though I dont like the construction of that place either.

People use the coli as an example but that places was so poorly built, even today they're having problems. You have to tarp, but each stadium was unique. Look at old yankees stadium, everyone has a story that they will carry forever, even the old people who say the NFL Giants win there. That probably won't happen, not with $25 dollar steaks.

Agreed. All the new ball parks, coors, the new twins place. All based off of camden, all the same, all empty from Mon - Fri.

These present era stadiums are a thousand times better than those cookie cutter shared football/baseball stadiums of yesteryear. Alot of cities had the exact same stadium- just a different name, color, and maybe a roof covering it or not.

Pittsburgh
Philly
Cincinnati
Atlanta
Houston- Astrodome
Seattle- Kingdome
Oakland
San Diego
St. Louis
Minnesota

It's the team, but it's also a lack of humility. They truly don't believe in the idea of lowering prices just to have the stadium filled because they cater to a certain class of people and those people (we call them suits) don't wanna mix with us broke boys at the Stadium.

Warriors fans, y'all are next. Y'all finna become MSG West

Another thing is that ya only won once in the last 16 years. There's a lot of switch siding. A lot of these kids growing up don't remember the teams from the 90s. I think a lot of the younger generation are Mets fans.

The worst thing that could have happened was for the yanks to Christian the new building winning the World Series. It didn't leave the front office hungry to cater to the fans who always been there

The Yankees drew at their best after those championship years though.

and the Yankees smother fans with those 90s teams too much for fans to forget them

I'm not saying they are forgotten. But during those times everybody was a Yankee fan. Not so much anymore. The Mets had been doing better and looked more promising than the Yankees for the last few years. Not so much this year.
