A better test would be to show those cousins a picture of white Jesus and ask them who the person in the picture is.
It's not the same. My test would cause them to answer with their intellect not their conditioned response.

The reason Jesus is portrayed as white is because outside its origins of development (Middle East), Christianity was first really picked up in Europe, where the white cacs made a representation of him as this blue-eyed light-skinned human.
If instead of Europe let's say India or Africa adopted Christianity to that extent, who's to say their representations of Jesus wouldn't be brown and black respectively?
But he's Middle-Eastern, Jewish-born semite whose purpose was to promote a newly inspired by God belief system to bring to the masses who were turning away from God.

Jesus was a hebrew. The tribe is from ancient kemet. This tribe was nomadic and even visited west africa. Jesus could have very will been middle eastern or black as night.
