It wasn't a perfect system, but 9 times out of ten, if a poster was deep in the red, they were trash.
There were garbage posters who had ridiculously high reps too :yeshrug:

it works both ways.

same way people feel safe to say off-the-wall stuff, theres people that get negged for no reason other than the fact that the negger(LOL) cant hold his own.

if it aint perfect, then why use it?
