Disagree. George Benson isnt like Kenny G or some shyt.

Soul Jazz is a direct descendent of that post bytches Brew, amalgamation of psychedelic jazz, funk & R&B. And on the flipside, you got potent, virtuosic fusion artists like Donald Byrd, Alice Coltrane, Lonnie Liston Smith, joe henderson etc

Ok, regarding my George Benson criticism, I take that back. Lets just say that he's not really my type of jazz artist. I know he can play, but his shyt's always been bland to me.

My second favorite genre is movie scores
After that, I dabble in world music (bossa nova, fado, African/Japanese folk), psychedelic/indie rock, dreampop, soul (Sly, James Brown)....
