I used to be like you breh. shyt just seemed like random noise to me. But one day it'll all make sense. And when it does, you'll never listen to music the same way again. Jazz musicians are easily the most highly skilled musicians on the planet and you'll gain that appreciation one day.
But to start getting into serious jazz (coz George Benson isn't serious jazz in my opinion), start with some of the simpler tunes, like jazz covers of some old songs that you might know.

Follow one instrument at a time. Start with the horn. Next listen, follow the drums. Next listen, follow the piano. Etc.

Good post breh. When you listen to jazz, what are you listening for emotionally? Or is it just technical stuff? Trying to hear how instruments talk to each other?
