There’s no city or state in America where 200k a year “ain’t shyt”. Y’all be doing too much and over stating how expensive shyt is. In my adult life I only lived in NY and Cali and never made over 100k in any calendar year, and most years, made way less than that, and I never struggled to pay my bills and have splurge money as long as I was working. So y’all just really bad with money.
Y'all seem to think I'm talking about a general couple making $200K needing help. We're talking about people who were making $200K who all of a sudden had that cut in half (assuming one spouse lost a job) or wiped completely (if both lost a job). The bills don't just go away. The only thing you save on at that point is childcare because you end up watching the kids yourself. People can put away money for savings each month, but when the income is cut drastically like this and the market isn't allowing for a quick possibility of rehire in a similar profession, it puts people in a bind.
