All the cosplay fiends are trying to make the dumb as$ "There's Always been comic book based films, so it won't go anywhere" argument to desperately keep people from getting fatigue. These can't be looked at as just "Action Films" because at least in those the f##kin formula switch up more often then these do. Bruh the sh#t is SOOoooo damn obvious at this point it ain't even worth the energy. This is why I have MAD respect for Bollywood & how they do things out in Japan. If the middle-easterns/indians want a hero BOOM they'll make one (Might be crap but still). If the Asians want to make a manga comic a film BOOM it's done; and they make sure their shown as the lead. See, Black folk are shackled in a lot of ways... Still .

And honestly it's not really even for me. I just know when I was a young Buck I woulda LOVED to see a Black Hero out there big budget standing on his own two handle'n business WITHOUT c00ning or being some other hero's b##tch. I know kids all over of EVERY background & gender who'd want at least ONE character like that but sadly, we know who the "Majority" is & what they'll support.

WORD!! I didn't learn bout those films until I was a bit older so I was just naïve to the few. But yeah bruh, Wesley should've gotten a THIRD film because ... well, there was No 3rd Blade movie as far as I'm concerned.

I don't understand complaining about how many comic book movies are coming out. It's like complaining about how many dramas or how many comedies are coming out. It's a genre of cinema, that's it. You can't sit there and tell me "RED" is anything like "Edge Of Tomorrow" is anything like "Guardians Of The Galaxy" is anything like "Kick Ass". I mean....c'mon son. Seriously. They're gonna keep on churning out comic book movies because the genre is expansive enough to sustain it.

There will be an over saturation period with audiences. It's scary that since 2000 look how many comic book/superhero movies there have been. It's like they have taken the place of "Action" movies.

they have.. that's why sly can get all those dudes together and make tens of millions in that genre.. they literally have NO comp.

if anything you'll get a movie like edge of tomorrow.. some action scenes wrapped around a lot of talking

but the old school, shoot em ups, gun shootout every 10 minutes.. but sometimes replaced with a hand to hand combat scene.... and the movie still costs 100 million to make.... nah that shyt is over

For people saying "This is what people want and the genre can handle it". Everything runs it course. This is nothing more than Hollywood hoping to bank of Marvel's recent success. The same way audiences got tired of "Remakes, Reboots" they will get tired of too many Superhero/comic movies.

Also, Wolverine 3 doesn't need to happen. FF2 is anything but a sure thing. at this point, scrap another Superman, he sucks on his own.

still, this is nuts. I wonder what the next trend will be after comic movies die down a bit. YA novels are going strong right now. Old movies are being made into TV shows. What's next? Actual well done video game movies? No clue where they can dig in next.
