-Climate change is melting permafrost soils that have been there for thousands of years.... some of these contain potentially deadly bacteria and viruses
-Aug 2016 - a 12 yr old boy and many others were hospitalised after being infected by anthrax - current theory is that a reindeer was infected about 75 years ago, died and froze under permafrost until last years heatwave where the ice began to thaw (this was in Siberia)
-Anthrax spores can live for decades
-Scientists have found intact 1918 Spanish Flu viruses in corpses buried in mass graves in Alaska, bubonic plague and smallpox are likely buried in Siberia
