Religion is a subject that maybe shouldn't be discussed but understand that if read Genesis the Serpent is described as a Serpent not Satan but a Talking ( and apparently walking) animal since God cursed him by saying that from then on he would crawl on his belly and women would hate him.

Job 1: 6-7
