I dont mean anything.
But before re4 every tps had a garbage camera and shytty animations. Every tps after stole re4's swag and revitalized the genre. Still a top metacritic score and the blueprint for most tps's.

Just to clear up a fanboy misconception, what you said is accurate for the campaign but an outright LIE for the multiplayer.
They changed how the guns handled in UC3 and it was BETTER. But the lemmings that are the masses didn't immediately like the changes and wanted the old style back. Naughtydog then had the option to play the game in either mode which segmented the userbase. Eventually they found a common medium they settled on.
The aftermath? The casuals was already turned off and the game (UC3) ultimately flopped hard. It was better than UC2 in every way. You die too fast in UC2. This wasn't something I noticed until UC3 corrected the problem. Too bad they never fixed the glitches that are a naughtydog staple
UC3 also had all the best levels of UC2 included in the DLC. Most of you was gone by the time those levels dropped 
You be saying shyt that makes my brain hurt. Nothing was better other than the fact it had boss battles in UC2 and UC3 didn't.
Even playing as young drake was fun imo. Tell me bruh.. is UC4 the best in the series?

MP1 was the perfect game for what it was. MP2 tried to get fancy and was still decent, but not quite as immersive imo
MP3 was awesome for what it was, but it lost its orginal swagger imo. It evolved into a typical 3rd person shooter by todays standards. Didn't Rockstar make it?

RE4 isn't really a cover shooter. Most of the enemies you fight don't even have guns until the last chapter.
And TLOU, alone, has already improved on everything about that game.
And I love RE4.
Max Payne 3 although not as realistic and resident evil 4 was more fluid but gears is definitely great but the movement felt pretty sluggish and not human

we're talking about third person shooters not tactictal shooters. And no TLOU did not improve anything re4 did. It had a shytty melee system, ugly aim, shytty shooting, a awful escort. There is noting other than production value that tlou did better than re4
