Yes u do....Just think about that darkness that existed before your first memories. Thats where you go when u die.

So straight from awake and aware to pitch black...no gradients, no expansion, or condensation...:ehh:

Not my experience.

Especially when you consider that your "first" memories on a conscious level start being retained well after birth.

My question to everyone in here giving answers.

How do you know all this?

Well we can keep it theoretical but my answers are based on my experiences (some that predate) my studies.

You cant "experience" a non-experience.

You wont give a fukk because it will be as before birth. Nothing.

You're afraid that it will be like being stuck in a pitch black room when in actually, you wont even have thoughts.

Your basing this on human science though, some things humans will never be able to figure out,or maybe they will....but as of right now im pretty sure they dont have a clue of about 50% or more of what the brain can do or how it connects with things that have nothing to do with visible body functions.

They can measure brainwaves if they want to,but whos to say theres not a "soul" or "spirit" that works as a backup and contains all the same thoughts the brain does:patrice:? there is no science that can measure what the spirit can do,if you choose to believe it doesnt exist thats another story.

i definitly believe we all have spirits,my only question is what level of intelligence does it have without the human brain...is it a mindless spirit that can observe but has no thoughts or feelings,or do you have all the same thoughts and memorys it had when it was inside your body.

How do you know it's not the same thing? Air is chemical. We can't 'detect' air but we know it's there.
You can 'detect' an imagination. Isn't a "chemical flare up" the sign of a detection? The brain is all chemicals and our thoughts are wavelengths. Isn't that how we detect what is beyond us?

The human body is far more advanced than ANY of our technology. It would make sense that if we limit ourselves to what our technology detects, then we wouldn't have a full understanding of what the human body can detect or interpret. Man once thought the earth was flat.

Correlation

To prove that these experiences truly mean something greater you need to find a systematic correlation between a wide variety of human beings

Until then it's :manny:

The only correlation that has been noted has been deja vu which would give credence to the theory of rebirth.

Each time we die, we relive our previous lives presumably forever.

Which is fukked up for a great majority of humanity, but maybe deja vu and the sensation of famialirty is designed to better ourselves :manny:

btw I would actually prefer the pitch black scenario unless i get to be a ghost who can move freely throughout the world and observe people still living:mjcry:....now that i say it outloud that sounds cool temporarily but watching other people live for hundreds of years while I'm dead may not be the shyt afterall:sadcam:

maybe my spirit can live after I die until i can cope with the fact Im dead, then from there it all fades to black:mjcry:

People are mistaking opinionated belief for fact.

Its the same argument knuckleheads use to put religion on par with science

Many people have described similar experiences post "death" although they werent completly dead if they were able to come back and tell us about it....but if you can write those off as coincidence and flare ups,why is deja vu a sign of anything more than a coincidence to you...ive had dreams about random stupid things then lived it out exactly and had deja vu...also ive had warnings in dreams about shyt that happens the following day....maybe its all coincidence or maybe its just a sign of something else the brain(or spirit) can do that science cant figure out:manny:

your consciousness is just a combination of electrical pulses and synapses firing in your brain

unless you somehow map your entire brain into data and store it on a computer or some kind of OS there is no consciousness when your brain dies

I hear ya.. But we don't understand the brain nowhere near close enough to say that's definitive

Again, for shyts and giggles...

Flip the concept that as a body...as a personality we are somehow a container for a spirit. When I said earlier that adding a "dimension" to 3D is like adding spatial awareness what is already there, what I mean is you stop feeling less like a "container" for consciousness and more like the space, itself. Your field of awareness now encompasses more than than your legs, arms and whatever external stimuli you bring into it with the senses.

Water vapor is EVERYWHERE, even if it slows down enough to take a solid form, it's not holding the water within itself to maintain that shape...it's still very much contained by the invisible water that surrounds it.
