There is going to come a time where us black men will have to come together and boycott against

How do you address the prices on rent they have to pay which are probably driving the cost increases.
They could transition into more of an uber service and come to the clients instead setting up brick and mortar locations. like plumbers and electricians do.
save both them and us some money

I thought of this too. Part of me can't help but be concerned about a post/pre cut robbery with some rogue barber

Still gonna need the brick and mortar to be a middle man option

It's true

Notice how the prices of a cut keep going up

Now when a barber starts looking you dead in the face and telling you the base price for a cut is $50 and you got some corporate company plopping down wherever they can afford space because you know damn well most barbershops aren't "black owned" since they don't own the property...what do you think is going to happen?

Its simple economics...my neighborhood alone all the shops looking for people because them chairs are empty

$20 a cut ain't paying rent like it used to
What kind of haircut you got?

I pay $25. Dude before me got out the chair last week and he had a little mini fro that was just getting touched up w/ a lineup and no facial hair

he said "it's $40 right?" to the barber

in my mind I was like :damn:

my whole cut I'm sittin in the chair thinking about my next move, like there's no way I am gonna start paying $40 for a cut.

do I learn to cut my own? go to a different barbershop? go every once in awhile ?

turns out the price is the same, but I don't know what kind of deal he has with him

I pay $40 for a haircut. Normally bring $50 and give him that.

My girls brother in law is a pretty popular barber who's won some barber competitions and cuts athletes haircuts and he charges $60-70

Cutting hair is an art.

We like to think it's that simple to cut hair and shape up our hairlines and such but it's not, it's takes skill, precision, etc 🤷🏾‍♂️ barbers lives aren't easy.

You can cut your hair at home but it's not gonna come out the same way as a professional barber and it's for the reasons I started.
Look at you and this reasonable response. NEGGED :rudy:

It’s wild that you were spot on with how the pricing went . It’s definitely 50 now at my shop
Well my barber has moved outta state. He recommended me a new barber and this guy charges $50. Officially reached the $50 point this thread was talking about.

:snoop: he not getting a tip. I don't care.
I'mma pretend it's a $40 cut with a 10% tip for my sanity sake
