I'm very little Irish my mom wont even acknowledge that i'm Irish i know jack shyt about Irish heritage and shyt and ill probably go to 3 different parades this year. None of the people i'll go with to these parades will be Irish at all. It's just a fun time to get drunk honestly.

It's not an official government holiday, it's just that massive parade literally blocks everything north of 5th avenue. So we just don't go. Too many of these Irish people here.
