I'm not caping, but black americans were the first group to call ourselves "black" with pride, so how can you expect a Mexican to just claim black like that? It's understandable why they chose Brown. You have to look at the times back then, and not now, a lot of Mexicans did ride with black people. it wasn't as bad as it is now, the street shyt took over, and a lot of Mexicans are straight from Mexico, they weren't around in the 60's when the fighting was happening. For them all they know is the old Mexican way of thinking, and that is white is the best.

As far Caribbean latins, I don't think they call themselves "Brown", or have "Brown pride", they never had a civil rights movement like Mexicans had in the states. For them, a lot don't know their history, and are worse then a lot of Mexicans because they do have black in them, but either ignore it, or are so lost from lack of history, they don't see it! Some are waking up, I've seen it with my own eyes. this Afro-latina thing is a sign they are slowly waking up.

In general hispanics are p*ssy solo but when they in groups or with other latinos/hispanics they unite and form like Voltron. It's quite common you see a pack of Latinos jumping one person or most recently the hyena type attack and stabbing of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz in the Bronx.

Here in the NJ/NYC area its hella hispanics, so much so that if I were to fart an average of 4 hispanics gonna smell it. Latinos keep to their communities for the most part but dikk ride black shyt.

Brown pride is a Mexican/central american thing. We caribbeans latinos don't identify with them. There's no unity within the latin community. It's all divided by region sometimes. For example...a mexican will have things more in common and will be likely be accepted by his central american brethern than a group of ricans and dominicans.

I'm going to speak for DR..

We don't ignore our heritage, we know our history and what went down. We call ourselves and eachother ( depending on the skin color) black by using the term moren@ or negr@. Some of yall just don't get it, we don't share the same history. What the yall (AA's) went thru not all of us experienced the same thing. One of the two biggest reasons why... is that USA and DR were colonized by two different colonial powers and the demographic between the 2 are different. Whites make up the majority of the population in USA while they're a minority in the DR....
