Legend of Heroes:trails in the sky currently holds the crown for greatest JRPG for me right now. Especially Second Chapter 
I picked up Persona 4 golden just now and will get around to it to see the hype after finishing the Trails of Cold Steel.

I liked Persona 4 but feel that SMT IV is a better game.
I can't stand the repetitive dialogue in Persona games. And in 5 the group chat is annoying as hell.
FF 8 might be the best RPG, soundtrack alone is Godly.

Yeah, I agree. I feel that P5 is a worthy successor. I even think the Protagonist this time is cooler than Yu Narukami (and Yu's already good in my books).
