Cena always has been bothered by the boos. That's why he always acknowledges them in his promos and says that he doesn't care about the boos and will continue to be himself.

He's wrongly getting the blame for the way they handled Daniel Bryan ...they had to let DB cook and then build Roman up...even rey mysterio got booed for being number 30 the fans were like an obsessed stalker for Daniel Bryan

Honestly though I think eventually people will get tired and some will start cheering as contratian fans. Now I know people say "Well look at Cena" and even hes got his fans but still booed but I think because Roman's hate is so much more debated and visceral because its happening while hes still on the ascent eventually he'll get his millennial fanbase that backs him (Like Drake does)

He was in the Shield tag matches against the WYATTS..against Bryan teams...he barely lost...Bray was the one they let pin him like twice in the first half of the year. But NO WAY WOULD THE FANS VOTE for Roman Reigns over Bryan in 2014. Str8 up WWE nonsense and it just kept making Bryan more over and added to Reigns downfall by the time his music hit at Rumble 2015.
