instead of taking long breaks in fear of sweeps, the simple resolution is to stop setting start dates for the last 2 rounds. I never understood why they did that anyway. nobody ever cared.

Plus, with the Knicks/ Rangers and Bulls/ Blackhawks sharing arenas, dates are scarce.

Exactly. They had they highest ratings and greatest period of growth doing it the old way so what exactly was the impetus behind the change. I don't like the 7 game first round but I get why it was done. I am not seeing the purpose of this shyt though.

remember when the next round would begin when other teams were still playing games in the previous round?

I always laugh when they have commercials counting down the days to the conference finals & finals.

in instances where all the teams that I care about are out, its easy for me to stop checking for the rest of the playoffs period, once they start taking those breaks.

and don't let the spurs & grizzlies both advance to the next round. who's gonna come back after an nba vacation to watch that chit?

They play in theNassau Coliseum in LI,theyll play in Barclays wit the Nets next year IIRC
