I think people expecting cloverfield 2 will be sorely disappointed.

Looks like they just switched titles did a quick rewrite of a couple scenes to loosely tie into cloverfield.

That's what JJ said basically

“The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield. The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”

My guess? Cloverfield becomes an anthology series of monster movies or Twilight Zone type shyt and this is the 2nd entry. Almost like what they tried to do with Halloween

Seems like a marketing gimmick but then again it has an IMAX release so something big will probably be shown.
