man I usually play competitive games because anything less than that gets too boring for me.. but man fukk star craft game is on whole nother level.. I mean its easy to get better than the general public but once you start playing some actual real good players you start to see, you just aint shyt

not too many games make you feel like you just hopeless at it

mafukkas doing 300-500 actions per minute shyt dont make no damn sense

I hit rank 1 in 3v3, 4v4 and #2 in 2vs2 in Warcraft 3 but when I played someone actually good I could tell the real skill difference and starcraft to me feels way harder than Warcraft

Cuz I was ranked in 1v1 on the ladder...like top 500...but there is a HUGE difference between a dude in the top 10 vs a dude who is ranked like 439. Like, I'd feel comfy, like "HA HA, this cat don't know I'm expanding this quick, AND I already got dragoons, with reavers and templars on the way"...then I watch my expansion get killed by 24 hydralisks with range upgrade and +2 weapons, only to find dude has two expansions already, and 12 mutalisks come to finish me off.

I couldn't be bothered with getting good enough to beat those motherfukkas. So, I decided to try to start getting p*ssy...and soon, I was getting p*ssy, and now I'm an unfaithful scumbag of a human being, addicted to p*ssy, who has cheated on almost every woman he's been with, and has experienced some truly freaky shyt.

I am the farthest thing from anti-intellectual.

I'm young, black, intelligent, educated, make pretty good money, good looking, really tall, and got a nice sense of humour. Girls come a dime a dozen.

You make it seem like nerds can't have high testosterone and a fetish for women with big titties and thick thighs. Like, have you ever actually been in a corporate environment? A lot of these nerds are the most sexually deviant, skewed moral compass-having motherfukkers you will EVER meet.

EDIT: Most of these corporate nerds are far worse than I am. I don't go looking to cheat--I just have A LOT of women throw it at me, and in my weak moments, I accept.

I really AM trying to stop, though. And I'd be lying if I said my friends, who don't get as much play as me, do peer pressure me into being unfaithful as a means to live vicariously through me.

I guess I might have to cop SC2 then. Like you say, the difference in skill between players can be massive and seem overwhelming. Once you start losing and don't know how to improve, it's hard not to quit. I might start watching more gaming streams to get better. Does that strategy help?

I felt the same way though. US East server was getting easy for me and I was feeling myself. I took my talents to the US West server to start playing Koreans. Got demolished just about every time and as good as some of those guys seemed to be, the likelihood of them being anywhere near the level of a Pro was slim to none. Had a motherfukka soul searching at the age of 14 like Do I really want to spend my time catching these MEAN Ls? I tried hard as hell to get on that Korean level but eventually I just said fukk it and quit

LOL! That was basically my Starcraft career in a nutshell. There was another server that wasn't battle.net that I played on a handful of time, where a lot of the top Koreans played, and though I did get a few wins on there, I caught many an L as well...many an L was caught.

sadly I know what server you are talking about it reduced the ping you would have playing on it too.. trying to remember the name

I cant knock video games though when I was young, it kept me out a lot of trouble
