Didn't like the way their character's direction were headed. On top of that injuries. 2 big stars for their time, so they were like "fukk it."

Austin was gone for around 6-8 months before he came back. Difference here is Punk's contract is up in July. I hope all you people giving Punk shyt also did the same for Stone GOAT.

Austin and Punk are on completely different levels career wise. Austin earned his pull and had every right to step in and challenge creative. Punk has never even been close to the level of Austin. Plus Austin admits it was a huge mistake. Phil hasn't.

I wasn't mad at either one of them for doing what they did :manny:

Austin's reasoning made sense to me. .. sure you could see Brock was gonna be what he was just off his look and background but you don't use a real true box office draws as some appetizer during someones ascent for shock value Stone Cold's don't come around often, Austin v Brock is something you build to a crescendo with a full program. Walking out was extreme but he did the right thing by telling them to fukk off because I'd have felt like I was being fukked with too.

Punk had the right to walk off from a job if HE felt he had earned certain positioning on the card and was being denied that. If I worked hurt, sick, whatever and felt I wasn't being given a fair shake at my just due I'd consider a different path too. Plus dude seemed miserable out there before he bounced like you could damn near feel it off him that he was phoning it in at times. I'd rather he bounce than start to lean on masking agents. A cat as emo as he seems at times can be prone to addiction and that wouldn't end well

Austin calls it the biggest mistake of his career, for the record.
Exactly it was twelve years ago and even Austin admits he was completely wrong. :smugpunk: ain't showing that type of humility anytime soon.

Just cause Austin feels that it was a huge mistake, doesn't mean Punk will... maybe Punk never comes back and enjoys the rest of his life with his millions in the bank :manny:

No offense to any of my coli fwends but it's self-centered to feel that Punk owes you an apology or an explanation.

yep. people walk out on their job and coworkers/friends everyday.

i'd rather his chapter end like this than end on some steroid, heart issues like the rest

You speaking too much truth for em, OP, dumb it down

These mother fukkers around here are like scorn bytches. Yeah Yeah Yeah, they hated on my man Punkadiabolical, but as soon as Ol Boy decided he wanted to step asides they got furious. You can't walk away from these mother fukkers cuz 1 of 2 things happens

1 They get scorned like they owe them something like a jealous ex
2 They get mad they can't walk away from their shytty jobs and existences

Breh, if Punk didn't have pull, we wouldn't have this thread right now. Whether he's as big of a star as Austin doesn't matter; he was a big enough star to walk away from his job with no consequences except angry fans. Only a handful of WWE wrestlers throughout history can do that, so the star power thing is a non-issue.

Also, Austin said what he did was a mistake, he only meant that he regrets pissing away money...
