This idea of honor in battle always seemed like a way to 1. cope with killing and hurting your fellow man 2. elicit loyalty and submission from your killers.

Killing a man with a knife is seen as brutal but you can blow a whole town to hell with missiles and it becomes a clinical action you can get a medal for.
It’s like when cac mma fans think fighting revolves around controlled fights.

war should be countries elect their top 25 best fighters and then you unleash them in a stadium with some melee weapons and one rifle. Broadcasted on the internet Ofcourse.

Yeah. There would be far less wars.
Actually probably the opposite.

But that's okay. I'd rather 500 soldiers die in a war than 800 civilians and children as a hospital is bombed.

Run up into the hospital, go room by room until you find the targets and then eliminate them while leaving civilians out of it.

At least that's what you would do if your goal is eliminating a target and not just racist genocide.

Leaders should be involved in battles. Don't declare war and then hide in a bunker like a p*ssy with your family while your nation's children have to spill blood. If you declare that shyt, suit and boot up and face the consequences.

Hamas should have done that instead of running in civilians' houses to kill Jews.

Hospitals/schools/churches/etc. used to launch/stage attacks are military targets, lose their 'protected' status in a war, and are warned to evacuate to minimize civilian casualties......

The side forcing it's own civilians to protect weapons is responsible for every death of those civilians.

My brother do you actually believe hamas is an independent organization despite their leader living in a hotel room in a gulf state and Israeli representatives telling people upfront that they want hamas to be in power

It's very clear that they're a fig leaf that's used to justify whatever actions they were going to take. It's genocide and warmongering if you attack an independent country with elected leadership and take over that land.

If the leadership is not democratic and is violent then you can say "we are fighting authoritarian terrorists and securing the territory. It's only a coincidence we bombed several neighborhoods and killed 10 thousand children"

Hamas is a political/military/terrorist organization that is the Government of Gaza. Israel wiping Hamas out makes your statement about Israeli representatives moot.

It's genocide to invade, kidnap, murder, and rape civilians just because they're Jewish. That was Hamas' intent. Israel's intent is to destroy Hamas, not Palestinians, therefore the charge of genocide against them is laughable.

Hamas' leadership is not Democratic and is violent. Ask Fatah. The neighborhoods being bombed are used by them to launch attacks. They prevent civilians from leaving those areas even after Israel warns them to leave. Only one side is trying to minimize civilian casualties, and it ain't Hamas.

Every dead Palestinian in this war is Hamas' fault.

Whoever develops robotic armies will dominate the world.

A robot shaped like a human. Or animal. Or birds.

My goodness. The things that will be.
