Ambrose had us all drinking the koolaid when he was in the Shield. He was quickly exposed soon after.

In about a year, I went from:

Ambrose is so much better than the other two. I doubt anyone seriously thought he was the weakest member.

Agree about Ambrose. He's awful in the ring and for a supposedly great promo I've never been captivated by his mic-work.

Roman has had the best matches of the year, especially when compared to the likes of Ambrose who is just not compelling in the ring. But Roman is booked terribly and at this point it seems he will never be accepted by the audience.

put ambrose in the ring with sheamus and they don't have a match nearly as good as the roman/sheamus match at tlc

It's really amazing how much more entertaining Reigns is than Rollins and Ambrose

Other than act like an idiot? Both men were involved in shytty matches tonight and to be fair a lot more time and energy was invested in Shane's match but after watching Shane's first performance in nearly a decade I've come to the realization that he plays a better Dean Ambrose than Dean Ambrose.

Shane's pop up DDT, judo kicks and submissions (other than the sharpshooter which wasn't all that sharp) were crisper and more believable offense than anything in Dean's arsenal. Even Shane's punches rival Dean's in terms of believability, and Shane's punches have become a meme for how fake they look.

The obvious kicker is the fact that Dean is the one that is billed as the "lunatic" and yet in one night shane took more death-defying bumps than Dean has in his WWE career. Shane's character is much more natural, he doesn't need to go out there and fidget like a wannabe heath ledger.. He proves that he's insane when he gets in the ring and risks his health. I don't think I've seen Dean do one thing in the ring that would justify him being labeled the "lunatic fringe" In fact, Rollins took all the crazy bumps when the shield were together.


Anyways, what does it say when the 46 year old non wrestler plays the role better than the 30 year old accomplished indy wrestler?

It’s amazing how much I wanted to smack the shyt out of Ambrose during his cocky Shield days before they became a face faction and he advanced on. I thought he would be the de facto heel and he & Roman might have the best run when they finally broke up, and I was obviously half-right and half-wrong about that.
