I seen a disabled woman carrying a baby down the street today....that limp she had was crazy ....shes clearly broke and disabled with a child to feed ......and she still trying...that put all the petty shyt im dealing with into perspective real quick

What's wrong is when you hold yourself hostage by living for the sole purpose of not wanting to see your family sad at your funeral.

I personally I view it as a neutral concept. Not wrong, and not right. No different than taking a moral viewpoint on eating or shytting which are also neutral.

And it's highly culturally dependent and relative. Many cultures with a strong warrior tradition actually took the exact opposite view of "im burdening my family if i die". You see this with the aztecs, the Hebrews under king saul, the spartans, the Japanese before the end of WW2, and pre slavery African fighters from the bite of Benin and the Kongolese empire. Even the vikings from Gautrek's Saga.

They took the viewpoint that the family would be best honored with you living your life at its best state. And if you weren't (or were incapable of) living your life it's your best state you are a burden to your family and therefore you should just die. in these cultural contexts your family would honor you at your funeral after suicide for lightning their family load.

The fact that these cultures, which were historically the most masculine and confident groups of people in human history, took this viewpoint is why I also disagree with the common concept of suicide being cowardice or weak or feminine.

Don’t kill yourself breh, there’s still so much to do here, and we need you. If you’re depressed, dedicate yourself to making the lives of the people around you easier. You don’t even have to hop on a plane to some warzone to do that, just start small in your community. I'm going to apologize for using "I" so much in advance.

I disagree with the premise that I'm needed. Because I hate everything about myself and legit wish I was ever born. I offer nothing to society even though I have a good job. Felt that way since teen years.

But I really love my family. And they really love me. Especially my mom. I can't fathom seeing her at my funeral because she really, really loves me. So I'm in this weird space where I don't want to live but I can't pull the trigger because I don't want to put the family through that. And I feel that there's something off about that.

Nah. I thought about that shyt a few times but life is a marathon, not a sprint. You never know, life be lifeing shyt might go 180 the next day, week, year etc. unless you have a terminal disease.

Been betrayed quite a few times (friends, bytches, family) and left for dead, mfs thought that was gonna be the end of me but I kept going. Never gonna let a hard time keep me down and look, im making good ass money and rebuilding my life brick by brick.
