That feeling when your name doesn't really give away your race so the non black interviewer expects that you're the same race as them, then they see a tall young black man walk in:wow:. Then you see the look of disappointment on their and you start to realize you wasted your time going there and you already know you're not getting the job:wow:.

In the IT world, when I speak to the engineers who are brehs or Asian, it's always cool...More often than not it is the Cac woman who pulls all the shyt not to hire me....

A few interviews I went on, the Admin Assistant/HR were besides themselves when they expected Ed Sheerhan to show up at the door, but got Wesley Snipes instead....

Cac dudes, yeah they will screw you over, but 9/10 it is women of all shades sabotaging my chances....

Edit:
One interview I had with the technical director, hit me with AD Questions, domain implementation, network scenarios, etc. He told me that no one got those questions on the first round and gave me props....

HR Cracker bytch questioned my career moves and said my resume had a lot of "Movement" aka Job Hopper. I told her straight that if a company did not offer a competitive salary, I will have to find a company that closer matches my needs...

These companies now hate straight, non-c00n, Black men...

I treat job interviews like they have to convince me to join their company. Walk in with confidence, sit straight up and lean back a bit, maintain eye contact to the point where they're almost damn near uncomfortable and when it comes time to ask them questions probe like hell. I posted in the IT career questions thread that I have started to decline anyone who wants to interview me more than 2-3 times. One formal interview, one technical, and maybe one team/group interview and that's it. My time is precious and I treat it that way so I'm not hanging around your company for 3 hours getting asked bullshyt questions that wont pertain to my potential job.

They're only emasculating if you allow them to be and if you go in with 0 confidence.

Job interviews are only emasculating when youre a unskilled bum.

Last interview i wemt to they gave me a written test. Almost got a perfect score except 1 question. I showed them that their drawing was wrong, so their answer was wrong. They changed the test becasue of me.. :laff:

Obviously they offered me the job and i said id do it, but just didnt show up...

And you know why?

Because my skills are demand.. You fukking tranny loving fakkit

Do a written test like a kid because an HR weirdo asked you to breh :russ:

You're proving OP point and you don't even know it :francis:

I've had two interviews since I got back from my vacation and both gave me offers. I'm deliberating on which one to take.

Not that I've had it easy because I had a few other interviews prior to those that were total flops. In those interviews, they were asking me irrelevant, bullshyt nonsensical questions and one of them the second interview was supposed to be 45 minutes and that shyt barely lasted half an hour. I knew I didn't get because while the woman was cool, the cac dude interviewing me was barely interested and started to act a little bit funny.

The ones that I DID get, the difference was like night and day. Once they established that I was obviously capable, they were asking me questions on how my time in South America was and general conversational stuff and the interviews went on for much longer. They walked me to the lifts and made general small talk which was a good sign.

When they start doing those ticks and drawing little weird shapes on paper, that's code for they're not hiring you lol. Most of the time if your face doesn't fit, they won't hire you regardless if you could recite everything backwards. Some of them are just a waste of time.

Nah it’s a chance for me to boast about my past work accomplishments and schooling ect.

Interviews are all about YOU and what you can bring to the company.

I walk in like I own the place and leave like I made them want to pay me for what I can do.

Y’all weak if you feel emasculated

If you that fly you shouldn't be going on job interviews, you should be interviewing cats to work for you. You sound too smart for folks to be giving you tests to take like you still a student.
I was just a shop foreman breh. Interviewing and testing guys. Teaching guys how to weld and fabricate. As far as people working for me it takes millions to start up a decent shop.

If you know how to take over the interview you get a rush from pulling the interviewers strings...

being able to bring up topics you know they relate to and using their emotional response to embed a good impression...

:myman:

interviews are just like running game on a bytch to me....
I'm not in the interview with them.... they in the interview with me

I run my own business now... so every single interaction with a potential client is an "interview"...
love taking a business owner who is apprehensive then after a 30minute talk they ready to break out the amex/checkbook

Welder fabricators are ALWAYS tested on their actual skills before being hired first off... It actually was a great opportunity, becaise i showed how they were wrong in front of the owner. The job was mine before he even interviewed me.

IMO it's a lot harder to be emasculated than some of us think. The concept of emasculation is very much exacerbated.

Job Interviews are easy for me, I always feel confident that if I get to that stage, I've got the job. Knowing how to articulate oneself and having good knowledge of your field will stand you in good stead. It helps to have basic general knowledge aswell.

Depends on the job but it's pretty natural to have "tests". Especially for developer roles. You're not going to take someone's word for it. They're going to wanna see you write some code. And trust, that is where they fall apart.

You would think every black man would be hell bent on getting independent— or at least laying the groundwork so that it’s an option for future generations.

For example, voting for M4A so that your boss doesn’t own your health insurance. Or voting for free higher education, so that your kids have more educational opportunity and thus more career mobility.

After all, if racism is real (and it is) where does it have the most impact, if not in the workplace? Everywhere else, you can escape it.

Great points.
