I had an interview with a recruiter once and the guy was like “okay, you’re too confident and comfortable. They need to see you a bit nervous, you know? It gives them a little power trip” I was like :childplease: and used a different company.

Interviews are really just a personality check and to see if they would want to work with you here in Australia. Especially when you move up in your career; they quickly become super casual. Especially because I work in a male-dominated industry they mainly want you not to be “that” guy

I disagree. That's what your resume is for. They're making sure you would be a great fit for the company...whatever the fukk that means.
Breh, I got hired to a spot years ago and only lasted a few weeks cause of the way they acted. The girl that hired me did it when the owner was on vacation and I was learning everything. Once he came back whole attitudes changed.

You have to go in with the attitude that you're offering them YOUR skills, not you're hoping they give you a job.
This. And unless someone from HR is in the interview, the people interviewing are usually not used to doing it and are nervous/awkward and asking the canned questions I already knew they would ask.

I feel you. I'm doing everything I can to avoid having to go back to a corporate job. I'd rather pitch my services to people than have to go on interviews and see the same white people everyday.

Can’t you say that for anything though? Getting a business or home loan. Buying a car, etc? Another human holds your fate in their hands in pretty much everything we do.
Let another man hold something of yours in his hands brehs:dame:

Your life's future path is practically at the mercy of another human being..:snoop:
Be at tha mercy of other men brehs:dame:

We’ve all got to start somewhere. Not everyone can be a chief.

You should use the skills of whatever industry you’re in to either become a contractor or eventually you’re own boss.

fukk spending most of your years making another company money when you clearly have a lot more intelligence than these privileged dumbasses.
