Nah man, I've seen people's last messages to their family right before they went on the respirator and they were totally coherent, other than being short of breath a lot of folk don't outwardly look that bad before that point. We're used to people dying slowly with a long debilitating ending, but Covid is a far more fast-acting disease than we're used to. It doesn't have to destroy your whole body (though in some people it does), all it has to do is turn your lungs to mush or clog up the blood in your arteries and you done.
