First thing I thought was the IRS, taxes etc...

Pretty much the government robbing you blind.

Edit: Or all your money goes to the military

Spot on. I think the only think you're missing is that it's a fake firing squad.

They threaten you with the prospect of death and rob you blind. And even then, you STILL look away (notice the guy is blindfolded but his head is still turned away from the soldiers...that's not a coincidence). I wouldn't be surprised if that man's hands weren't even tied behind his back.

I think its symbolizing the pacifying of a drug habit.

Pacifying of the drug habit? Or is the drug habit the pacifier for the user because of some larger social issue? When a baby cries, you give it a pacifier to calm it down. But if the baby has to shyt, the pacifier can only work for so long. If the baby is hungry, the pacifier can only work for so long.

hard to climb the ladder to success when you're just trying to survive.

Wrong. IT symbolizes how the elite brainwash people into cutting off the first steps of success for impulsive gain (like buying a car you don't need, or buying a house you can barely afford). Making it impossible to climb the ladder...

Microwave generation etc.

Don't want to wait, want pleasure at the moment, instead of enduring hardships for a greater long-term gain.

I interpreted the first one as people benefiting (living good) from other people's suffering. Getting rich from forced labor (prison industrial complex making people rich, sweatshops, child labor).

I interpreted the pacifier one as saying, supporting your habit is like supporting a child. When your child cries you HAVE to feed him/her. After a while supporting your habbit isn't about getting high...it turns into an an obligation.

I interpreted the penguins as saying, global warming is slowing killing off animals (endangered species). As the climate gets warmer, more penguins die.

I dont know about the one with octopus titties.

whats the story with this?

When they buried the first Emperor of the Qin dynasty back in 200-whenever-the-fukk BCE, they went all out and replicated his palace in his burial site with those scultures of warriors, musicians, servants and other stuff, kinda like how the Egyptians filled the Pharaohs tombs with their favorite possessions. They discovered it in the 70's when some farmers were digging a water well

The History channel and Nat Geo used to be so piff before "reality" tv :sadcam: :to:

no life in sight, no water, might not make it to a life source, even if you do, would you have the strength to find water or trap an animal, no wood for fuel, except for your ladder?

but again, all of the dangers he faces in the hole, he faces outside of the hole.

He has a 0% chance of surviving in the hole. He thinks he's surviving, he thinks he's living, when he's just committing suicide. He has a x>0% chance if he gets to the top of that ladder.

he thinks because he's in the hole and can "identify" the dangers he faces, he's safer...he finds comfort in his ignorance (ignorance is bliss)

but how can one make that assumption until they venture into the unknown? there is no progress without struggle.
