I think these are a few examples of the good rap songs in the 80's

Caution Male Rappers

But that's a few songs off one album the rest of the songs on albums aren't that good and the beats are corny and simple there's very few 80s rap songs with good melody

Off one album?

huh
:dwillhuh:

and no they are not corny
:comeon:

How is Rakim Corny

How is De La Soul Corny

How is Slick Rick Corny

it's a shame that some of you can't get into older music. I personally like stuff from the 40's and as far back as the 1700's

Born in 79 and hates 80's rap means that his parents were either Cacs or fundamentalists who kept him away from secular music as a kid. Period.

No I've been a fan since Run DmC and my fave was LL I just can't go back and listen to it

Most of the beats are too simplistic it doesn't have the smoothness of the 90s

Don't forget Lady of Rage too.

Underrated like hell

To me THIS was the best joint off that album

Eh, I can understand what you're sayin', but that's more because early to mid '80s production hasn't aged well in general, that's the truth with a lot of R&B and pop and especially rock in the '80s, but by the late '80s, but by the time Public Enemy, NWA, and Big Daddy Kane came out, those issues were taken care of.
