Lol but seriously…I guess it depends on what you want your marriage to look like. Based on what I saw in my parents marriage and all the 40+ year marriages in my family I’ve seen…I think all kinds of virtues can help (e.g.Honesty, generosity, privacy, respect, good communication, strong sense of identity, shared vision, empathy).

But I think what really matters is two things: you gotta truly want to be with that person and you gotta really wanna be married. Seems redundant but I’ve met some people who thought they wanted it, but ended up not really wanting it when times got rough.
