This is what happens when you have a generation that is completely removed from the roots of hip-hop as a culture. They only were cognizant of the commercial era and see hip-hop as a means of getting famous as opposed to really crafting their art. That's why the youngers ones that are talented stand out as much as they do.
Spot on post, and its only gonna get worse because todays young parents are listening to nothing but bullshyt themselves and will pass that down to their kids. Atleast us older heads had parents that bumped music with substance. Thats including R&B also. Todays generation dont even know real r&b. R&B to them is "eat the booty like groceries" & "these h0es aint loyal"
