These little brehs treating soccer like it’s an and1 mixtape session. Poor sportsmanship or it’s all in the game?

If I was the coach of that youth team, I would have deaded that. They 4-0 up against a lesser team so instead of showing off, go score another one. Also, it's disrespectful, they can enjoy themselves without ridiculing the opponent.

Another team or coach might have taken this wrong and started tackling knees and ankles.

I was thinking same thing, stupid as fukk to let your players do that when it could easily result in one of them getting taken out for the season by an angry opponent. They could have played around and shown off the footwork and skills in plenty of ways without going out of their way to embarass the opponent.

He was born in 2012 and is 11 years old so he's U-12 right now. I believe next year in U13 is when they graduate to to the Big Goals and shyt.

Yeah. U13 is when it's full size field and goals. Also when ECNL and ECRL starts (appears to be the highest level of play here in the states) with tournaments and travel games throughout the country.

Top team in the country in U11 is one of the local rivals clubs of my son. Competition out here in Seattle is tough. I started my son later than most so he's playing catch up with some of these other boys.

Them boys nice. You have play bully ball with them and it stop. When my oldest was just learning, she didn’t have the footwork but she had strength and speed. I told her be aggressive and use that forearm. Had team shook by playing bully ball and snatching that ball with her speed.

I'd tell any kid playing defense against these kids just hold your ground and let them dribble all they want. Keep your body between yourself and the goal and they'll eventually make a mistake. How I've taught my son to defend. Don't stab, slide your feet and stay in front of them. Once they make a mistake use your speed and strength to muscle them off the ball.

I make him watch this vide to see how to defend.

Heard Pacific Northwest was crazy. One of my college homeboys daughter does travel soccer/AAU (they live in Beaverton suburb of Portland) and she was traveling all the way to Houston and shyt. She’s the only black girl on the team too of course.

He says them girls games be intense as shyt. Definitely would get fukked up trying that nonsense.

For reference, this is literally South Africa’s thing. They play like this everywhere. It’s a highly cultural thing. Just like Brazil has joga bonito. It’s engrained to showboat and show skill on the ball. Obviously time and place (they were already 4-0 up) but you grow up with this style over there. A lot of very talented players that don’t get the opportunity.

It’s not all about making it to the next level, it’s having fun and expression. Which incidentally produces the greatest players. Over coaching is a sin at this age. Alot of people forget that aspect of the game. Everyone ain’t gonna be playing in academies and for big clubs
