No I do not watch fukkin OKC :hhh:

But a common complaint is that Melo is the reason they aren’t as good as they should be.

Going JUST off numbers, him and PG are playing damn near the exact same:

PG: 21/3/6, 42/40/80
Melo: 20/2/6, 42/37/80

Advanced Stats:
PG: PER: 18, TS: 55%, USAGE: 25%
Melo: 17, 53%, 27%

Defensive stats:
PG: STEALS: 2.8, Blocks: 0.8
Melo: 0.9, 0.7

So brehs who do watch this team, what is PG doing that Melo isn’t?

Is the 1.9 more steals a game that influential? :ld:

Cause they’re really having pretty much the exact same season

anyone that says melo is the problem is not watching the games. if you watch the video i posted by zach lowe the thunder starting 5 are good for 6th in offense when they are playing together, and are even better when abrines is playing instead of roberson..... however abrines isnt in the rotation anymore because donovan is an idiot. sure sometimes they ISO too much, but lets not pretend great offense can't come from isolations. last years cavs had damn near the most efficient offense in history and one of the teams with the least amount of passes per game.

they simply need a mix, and less andre roberson. teams are straight up not guarding the dude. i dislike westbrook ISOs more than melos since he isnt nearly as good of a shooter. better decision making by westbrook and better rotations by donovan will fix 75% of the issues. the rest can come with time and increased chemistry.

I don't understand why they traded for melo. I honestly believe they would have been a lot better with the team they had before the melo trade
Funny cuz thats the same thing I said when the Knicks traded for Melo. I feel like they gave up too much. Look at how that played out.

ADAMS IS VERY SERVICABLE ON BOTH ENDS OF THE COURT.

YOU COULD HAVE ATLEAST SAID ROBERSON
IF YOU WANTED TO MAKE ANY KIND OF SENSE.

You guys can say what you will, but ever since that franchise replaced their hard knock bigs Perkins and Ibaka with stumbling lackeys like Kanter and Adams, that franchise has been in disarray

hes going to be doing a lot of sulking, as he bows out in the early playoff rounds while the superstar he refused to defer to wins multiple titles in a row after abandoning his ass. the loser trifecta formed like voltron in okc. you arent going to win shyt with russ as your number 1 option anyways, let alone when you add guys who are content on just cashing a check like melo and george. chase them triple dubs
Please. You act like KD was the missing piece in GSW. They won a ring without him so...

westbrooks me first style of play, even when he had a guy better than him on his team, will stop him from ever getting over the hump. either sulk on opposing benches while you chase triple doubles and early playoff exits after being abandoned, or change up your style of play and elite teammates wont dip on you in the midst of your teams peak

My hypothesis is they won’t do shyt until they get rid of that Hungarian-strongman-looking-fukk Steven Adams.

Russ is starting, so figure out who plays better with him between Paul George and Melo, then whoever doesn’t fit as well with Russ comes off the bench to lead then second unit. So figure out what type of big fits better with that guy so they can have two coherent offenses instead of one clusterfukk.

But what’s imperative is getting rid of that clumsy oaf Steven Adams, because a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. So long as he’s on the court, the offense will always break and fall apart because all the other guys are having to play twice as hard to make up for his slack. By the end of the game only Russ is going all out, because he’s that special kind of competitor, but most players aren’t trying to risk injury in regular season games by playing as hard as they can the full 48.

tl;dr: fukk Steven Adams and his stupid moustache :birdman:
27 points (career-high), on 100 FG% (11-11) and 100 FT% (5-5). With a # of great plays on both ends down the stretch.

Only thing that can save that team is a coaching change. Not saying Donovan is a bad coach but clearly his voice is not being heard or respected.

What makes you think Westbrook is going to run any coaches offense?

nikkaS WANTED SPOLSTRA FIRED DURING THAT WHOLE 2011 SEASON.

BRON WAS LOW KEY PUTTING HANDS ON HIM IN HIS PASSIVELY AGGRESSIVE WAY.

HE DID HAVE THEM PLAYING DEFENSE THOUGH
AND NOW HES REGARDED AS ONE OF THE BEST COACHES IN THE LEAGUE.

DONOVAN DOESNT SEEM TO HAVE AN OFFENSE
BUT ANY COACH THAT GETS HIS TEAM TO PLAY TOP 3 DEFENSE IS BEING HEARD
AND RESPECTED.

ITS UP TO THOSE 3 MEN TO COME TOGETHER
AND FIGURE IT OUT
AND I BELIEVE THEY WILL.

A team with PG, Roberson and Adams will be good defensively

Like I said - he's the least of their worries on offense, bro.
I didn’t say he was, I just said my hypothesis is that team is going to struggle so long as he’s their big. I made it testable, if the team gets better while he’s there (WCF) then I’m wrong. But if they get better once they replace him, I’m right.

Jesus breh, whatever. I made it as clear as I possibly could. Just drop it, because I don’t want to keep going back and forth on Steven Adams

What doesn’t make sense is to blame Melo for a team that’s been struggling for years. Just so happens they’ve been struggling since Ibaka and Perkins got replaced with Adams and Kanter, hm

You're better off just dropping this topic altogether. You keep making less and less sense as you go.
