Women are just being taught how to live life without needing a man to survive, which is fine. You would be dumb as hell to raise your daughter in today's world to depend on any of these dusty nikkas out here. Nope. Women are being taught to compete wit men and view them as oppressors. But even if we got with what you say, you think they’re being taught to live without men for their benefit or to break up the family unit? And the only reason women today can survive without a man easily is because they have all these safety nets that are in place (provided by men of course).Things like 911, grocery stores, convenient stores etc... if there’s a race war tomorrow and the lights went out you think the majority of women are gonna be able to handle all that? You gonna trust your adult daughter to go out there and defend herself on her lonely to the same extent you would your adult son? And you know most men ain’t gonna be able to handle that nowadays let alone women.

And all that “I don’t need a man” is cute when you’re in your prime. But once you leave it? There’s no turning back. So when I have a daughter I’m going to instruct her to use her prime (I.e. 18-35) to find a suitable mate so she’s not 35 on LSA talking about there’s no good men when she spent her prime frolicking with the “no good” men that are out there

We don;t have a whole IR section in TLR. We have sections for all kinds of women. LSA on the other hand exclusively has an IR section, and it gets a lot of traffic.

I’m taking your word for it— I can’t really give a fair comparison between the sites then, because I was basing my assessment off of the threads yall link to and the skimming I’ve done on occasion. All that to say shyt I don’t know.

Never said it was desirable. I actually said it was silly for women to play the same game as men when it comes to dating.

Then I said it was silly for men to play the same game as women.

Another thing whether its deisrable or not the age at which people are having kids are increasing. Due to financial reasons and society norms (and better reproductive technology). Its very common now to see women and men have children in their 40s. I remembered as a kid in the early 90s a class mate of mine mom had triplets through IVF. It was a shock cause one it was rare then for women in their 40s to have kids and two we all knew it was IVF cause she had triplets. Which isn't done now a days in the US cause they will only implant on embryo unless you got money to skirt the system or go overseas.

Usually people are having kids at an older age due to taking awhile to find someone. Marrying at an older age. Divorcing and getting married again and focusing on career and thus having kids later in life. You can go in any family ward of a hospital or ivf clinic and see couples in their 40s and men in their 50s (celebrating the birth of their kid or trying to have one) having or trying to have kids.

Actually you can normally tie income with how much older people will have kids in the western world. The more they make (and more educated) the longer they wait to have kids.

And I say this as a person who has known a few of them 40 year old folks and 50 for men. Who have had kids at those ages. Whether naturally or through IVF.

Trust me I know. I’ve said on here that the majority of black parents that have children at my son’s school are older parents—late thirties and early forties. My coworker is 41 with a 1 year old, she had to use IVF. Gen x started this trend smh. The thing is they all look so tired and . I actually be feeling sorry for them. But a lot of them waited until they found someone and were settled financially. The thing is the direction our society is moving with all the situationships, online dating, and the lack of quality in the dating pool more people will continue to be single than those coupled up. It’s a reality. Once it stops being stigmatized hopefully people that aren’t able to meet someone that meets their standards, will find happiness in other ways.

Sista I don't even trip about people having kids at older ages. One cause I grew up around well to do yuppies in chicago and many of the non black kids I grew up with parents had them in their late 30s and early 40s. So I understand how professionals and successful folks put off having kids.

I also don't trip on folks having kids at young ages. I went to college in Mississippi and saw married and single women with 3 or 4 and 5 kids at ages 22 and 23.

Long as folks ain't got to bother me for some money to raise they kids. I could care less. These folks need to live they life like everyone else.

Kats online love to talk that shyt about how misogyny is bad then want to tell people (older people) what to do with they body and when and how they should have kids... Even though these so called grown older folks can financially take care of their kids and do a lot more for them than so called "younger folks".
