LeBron James has been a national figure since he was a teenager, but he has nothing on Stephen Curry when it comes to living in the public eye from an early age. As the son of veteran shooter Dell Curry, young Steph was a presence at events ranging from the Three-Point Contest at All-Star weekend to random Charlotte Hornets games to TV segments about the families of NBA athletes. He didn't have the recruiting pedigree of other All-NBA athletes, but he still got plenty of media attention.

For instance, we're pretty sure that no other NBA player starred in basketball-centric Burger King ads before he entered high school. The CSN Bay Area broadcast of Monday's Golden State Warriors home game with the Hornets unearthed these old spots for a bit of Steph-Dell nostalgia:
So there you have it — the key to becoming a great NBA player like Dell Curry is to work hard, believe in yourself, and eat lots of mass-produced hamburgers. Unfortunately, the ad does not explain how a youngster can become as good as Stephen Curry. Maybe he went to some other fast food restaurants we don't know about yet.
Incidentally, Steph also welcomed his father, now a Hornets announcer, to Oracle Arena with a classic goof:

That 'hello' preceded a strong game for Curry, who returned to the starting lineup Monday afterleaving Saturday's Warriors win with a re-aggravated left shin contusion. He put up 30 points (12-of-21 FG, 5-of-10 3FG) in just 32 minutes as Golden State won more comfortably than the 111-101score indicates.
