the drugs dont make you do them. . .YOU as a person choose to do them, plain and simple. . .you were a thief before the "drug" ever came into you life and once you dont have the funds to obtain that "drug," then you go back to what you know to get them (in this scenario, thievery). . .weak willed people blame everything but the source of the problem, and thats THEM!
you werent born needing percs, weed, cocaine or whatever your "drug"of preference is. . .you chose to indulge in them and your weak will makes you choose that "drug"over your obligations. . .but i guess we will have a different opinion breh, plain and simple. . .but i dont believe or respect no "addiction" talk
i love lsd, xanz and weed (reason why i want to become a chemist) and i have never stole for them, robbed for them, lost a job due to their usage, etc. . .because im strong willed and as a man, i wont blame my problems on anything but ME, straight up
Man I'm just talking bout my experience with friends.
People otherwise known to be good people have gone way down the rabbit hole with their addiction
I'm not saying you're entirely wrong, but I've seen good people die from these habits and they weren't thieves or weak people. Not anymore than anyone else in the real world.
You know opiates are physically addicting right? It's not a choice or a mental decision after a certain point. You can literally DIE just from the withdrawals, that's beyond a decision once your addicted. How far would you go to stop feeling like you are dieing?
One of the nicest people I ever met found out his sister was raped by his step dad when he was younger. He started doing pills to null the pain. He built a tolerance for the pills and needed more. Suddenly he started acting loopy and lieing all the time, stealing, drifting off while he was talking. Then he started missing work. Then he started doing heroine because the pills cost too much. Then one day he had an issue with brake fluid in his car and it was like the final straw I guess. He decided to shoot himself up with more heroine than he'd ever done before.
He didn't show up to work the next day so we went to his apartment, the door was locked. We had to look under the quarter inch gap of the door, he was dead in the fetal position on his couch stiff as a tree.
He might've been weak minded, but he was a good person and not prone to being a theif given any of my experience with him until he went down this rabbit hole.
So I feel strongly about the subject. Just scrolled by another friends RIP on Instagram today, he od'd too. Was always a good kid til he started doin percs.
One friend I used to have held a yard sale while his parents were on vacation and sold everything from their house.
I've seen two pills heads set up hidden cameras on each other while living in the same house because both their supplies kept going missing. Neither had the tendency to steal any time I knew them before this.
But I respect your opinion still.
