Most fashion houses are ran by Europeans who really don't know anything about or care about American Blacks.
Gucci is an Italian own and European ran fashion house that woke up one day and saw a bunch of rappers buying their clothes and shouting them out in the 90s.
Think about all the Black people in the USA that can really afford to buy authentic Gucci at Gucci prices.
Then think about some European in Europe, making clothes.
Now does anybody really think that Gucci is thinking of American Blacks while making their clothing?
American Blacks is not the target demographic of Gucci nor can the majority of American Blacks buy their clothes. They don't care. None of these brands do, which is why they are tone deaf and keep making silly choices that can be obviously avoided if there was an American Black person in the room.
I actually believe Gucci's creative director who literally made a Blackface piece of clothing and they were said they were thinking about some Australian performance artist by the name of Leigh Bowery. Leigh Bowery's work look just like the damn sweater and Leigh Bowery's work, if put in an American context looks racist as fukk, but this artist is from Australia.
You know why I believe it, because artists, especially those who work in high art, don't know anything about the real world 8/10 times. Now combine that with some brand being made in Europe. In fact most of these high end brands are made in Italy or Spain. Europe does not have the same history with Blacks as the USA. They do not know anything.
Think about the level of ignorance these fashion houses have about the world. They spend all their time making clothes that 95 percent of the population cannot afford and would not want to wear without the brand name attached to it.
It's time to stop giving White people mastermind status. They are not that smart. They are ignorant as fukk. They don't know anything. These are the same people that thought they could reach India by sailing West, which is the opposite direction. These are the same people that spent decades comparing skull sizes of different races because they thought skull sizes determined intelligence. These are the same people that when sick, they would drain themselves of their blood.

I used to be into buying high end fashion items when I first started my career. I bought a very expensive designer purse that I never used. I quickly realized what a waste it was. If they don't want us wearing their stuff, there's other who do. But again, it's not hurting your pockets to not buy their stuff.
