But unlike his, it's literally not in the palm of your hands, so you're still at the mercy of the services LOL..just teasing

I don't do the streaming services I'll cop my CDs just because I still like owning and collecting. But you have to realize that the model will eventually change. It'll be a cap on streams at X price or by artist

shyt i still buy all the blu, nas, kanye , etc cds on physical.

but yeah, untill then, take advantage at all the music they giving us for 10 fukkin bucks a month. its a beautiful time to be a music head right now, take advantage.

215 Uptown!
17 bucks a month for Google and netflix. Every new album and you can upload your own music to the cloud so any mixtape you want or albums exclusive to other services you can download and upload to google play. Not to mention with google play you also get youtube red.

I haven't complained once :ahh:

nikkas stay complaining
U should only need one music service there's no real reason to pay multiple times for the same thing
Netflix and possibly hulu if u don't have cable
So for $20 to 30 a month u have legal access to a wealth of music movies and shows
Now compare that to paying $15 for every album or movie

I'm totally always into downloading. Cause theres always some rare shyt i'll never see again and frankly, its never available elsewhere.

Unless I go to Beatport and get my pockets ran through :damn:

Beatport is cool and I've been a supporter of it since the beginning but as a DJ and a producer of mainly house music nowadays I've honestly seen that site as more for electronic music heads and EDM DJs. But I like how more people are getting into it and making it a regular music staple...they got dope shyt on there.

I came from a background of buying music in music stores and was all about the vinyl game way back when and had almost 1,200 records. Most of those I sold, but I'm just amazed at how much of it is getting ripped and put on youtube.

Beatport is hella expensive though...but alot of new school producers and DJs use it cause they too broke to put stuff out on vinyl...like myself at the moment.

In reality, all of these streaming services and everything with downloading is all you need nowadays. But I'm getting back into vinyl as well as cassette. The music game is dope now.

I really love soundcloud but I'll be devastated when I have to pay for it. Next were gonna have to subscribe to YouTube.
TBH if soundcloud goes the charging route it really might be the final nail in the coffin for that site cause they've been bleeding out tens of millions in loses over the past couple of years...but it's only grown as a site and a company...so I guess someway the universe will work itself out.

yep $12/year.

Imagine the whole world buying 12 CD's a year again. The music biz won.
I boughty way more than 12 cds a year back in the day...

When I had my first job and started DJing I'd easily spend $200 on a stack of records every other visit.

I like streaming for exclusive stuff on soundcloud...I ran through five accounts myself since 2008 and have tons of my original music. I use mixcloud for mixes. I use youtube and downloads as well...junodownload, beatport, then nodata, google searches, random forums like funkysoulz, blogspots, and ofcourse tumblr.'

When I had my major music studio set up back in 2009 I had cassette tape, Cds, vinyl, MP3s on portable HD, basically every format possible so as long as I can hear my favorite songs whenever I'm good.

But personally I have so much music at my disposal and it's too easy to find new stuff I become content and get in moods.
