At the end of the day, Greg Hardy had a rare set of skills that people are willing to pay top dollar to use/see nothing more, nothing less.

The league was on some bullshyt for suspending him this year AFTER basically suspending him all of last year. I actually appreciate his lack of contrition. He clearly doesn't give a fukk and he's not even gonna try to act like he does. If you mess with women (or dogs) in this country there is absolutely nothing you can do to make up for it. All he can do is beast on the football field, he will never be allowed to get past what he's done no matter what so I don't even blame him for not trying. The term "basically" was included to account for the technicality there. When you aren't allowed to play, you are suspended regardless of how it's worded or dressed up. The phrase "suspended without pay" exists because you can be suspended while still being paid.

It's not defending anyone to say that the dude has had his day in court, and was found not guilty, so it is time to just move on, like you do with other athletes and people who aren't so easy to crush in court of public opinion. Notice that you don't see national news media bring up and telling the camera "I don't care that you were found not guilty, I still believe that you are a bad person" when cops are shooting and abusing people on camera, and let off because jury and persecutors are in bed (sometimes literally) with police.

I don't get how intelligent brothers like to conflate things so much. Plenty of posters have said the dude was a scumbag.

If you want to live your life saying fukk you to the world and daring people to take offense, fine, but don't feel persecuted if you burn bridges, and people do not want to support your brand. The allegations are pretty horrific, whether you want to believe them all the way or not at all, there is a stigma surrounding him now, and he needs to be careful not to feed into to the machine.

No..although they have finally left Ray Rice alone after they understood that they've made it impossible for him to find another team (it's actually the backlash and he looks to be falling off--probably fell completely off by now). PETA eventually caught heat when they didn't leave Vick alone as more people started looking up their own actions.

My only advice to Hardy is to stay completely away from law enforcement and have a very decent eye for picking women, because there's a really good chance someone exploits this for his/media's money or fame (likely infamy because any woman after ex should've known better). Otherwise, until they fall back, troll on playa.
