Till this year's draft. The NBA has been on stoopid pills as far as talent assessment and actual development.
They think they can make a winner by having the player have to consult outside help to improve.

This draft was the first year. where it felt like the teams did their homework for real. Hopefully this Gs effect gets contagious to the whole league. Where all the teams attempt to really fix it.

I remember seeing scouting tapes on him from 2013, he was seen as very high risk project with the potential to be great.

I honestly think he'll be the face of the league soon, we've never seen a player like him and the thing is he's still learning this game.

There had to have been some handicap in place because if Giannis started playing at 5-8 instead of 15 like pretty much everyone else he'd probably be the best in the league by now.
