The irony of "black twitter" complaining about the lack of representation in an ad from a company with a large black user base while using the platform of a company that doesn't value their black user base...

So the better question is why are black people still using twitter? Blacks are almost 30% of the user base but twitter doesn't hire any black people and got the least amount of diversity of all the tech companies.

All I see is another black man getting that $$$$:sas2:

You folks honestly shouldn't be so worked up about this.

If I were running a business I'd market to as many fukkin people as I could get.

Because they have an accent :mjlol:. Just like they will pronounce other things different. I had a west African pronounce tip as type and I was so damn confused.

It's prounouced as shay no sheah
Naw that's the CAC version. West Africans (Where Shea Butter originated) pronounce it like Sheah

Dumb jawns on twitter mad af but don't realize this company is white owned :mjlol:
Company isn't White owned.
Bain does own a large share of the company, though.
I don't know how many people they'll attract with the increased advertising toward non-Black people, there are already very well-known and market-controlling hair companies that sell their products for much cheaper.
White women use $3 Garnier Fructis or dry shampoo, most don't even moisturize their hair :mjlol:

I disagree with him on this. But he does have a point about them doing this for Shea Butter but not doing this for Asian owned weave shops that beat up black women.
You mean one hair store?
A hair store the vast majority of Black women have never, and will never attend or buy from?
Its not a point, Tariq Nasheed is trying to find a balance between bashing Black women and selling his hotep foolery.

anything hair related gets these birds attention quick:mjlol:just find a way to associate weave or hair to your cause and the birds wil come flocking:mjlol:
Black women's hair has very specific history regarding discrimination, as well as being used in anti-Blackness, especially in the US.
Historic discrimination against their hair continues in this country.

they don't own it but they run that muthafukka
You're right about that.
49% ownership isn't majority, but considering is an entity, they have a formulaic control of the company, because they have the backing of all 49% of their ownership.
