Shea Moisture is NOT majority owned by Bain Capital. It was a minority investment deal; something you'd see on shark tank. It is black owned.

They did probably have something to do with this commercial though

I used to use their products religiously, but one day it just made my hair feel crispy. I don't use it any more, but it doesn't matter to me if they diversify their customer base. I use "white" hair products too.
