You don't ask your qb to take a 10 million pay cut when he still has it.:francis:

He balled out until the last 5-6 games of the year, then either his arm gave out or it really was a quad injury that held him back.

Either way, they'll run it a lot more this year.

Nope. They all have winning postseason records. And none of them had nearly as much talent on offense as Peyton enjoyed throughout his career.
Yeah defense doesn't matter. :francis:

The late 90's Broncos, mid-90's Packers, and 70's Steelers were way more stacked than any team Manning was ever on.

No...he didn't.

:AIwhat:

The season he won his Super Bowl, Peyton had one of the league's best defenses led by Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders. As a matter of fact, people who followed the Colts attribute the Super Bowl victory to the Colts' defense; it certainly wasn't because of Peyton's postseason performance. And since he's been in Denver, he's had an elite defense.

You haven't a clue.

:dead: So the 23rd ranked defense in the league is a "great defense?"

The stupidity of that claim aside, the fact that he won the SB the one year you claim he had a great defense destroys your argument. Way to ether yourself. Good job.

Elway's overrated? Now I've heard it all...dude had shyt recievers
Elway is arguably the most overrated player in pro sports of the past 35 years.

And how in the living fukk are Shannon Sharpe, Ed McCaffrey, and Rod Smith shyt receivers? 2 were perennial Pro Bowlers. The other is in the conversation for greatest pass catching TE of all time.

It's not my fault Peyton is called one of the GOAT QBs even though he has a losing postseason record (worst among active pro bowl QBs), has the most one and dones in the postseason for starting QBs, got blown out 43-8 in the SUPER BOWL, and sees his stats decline in the postseason despite perennially being surrounded with the best offensive weapons.

Dude's legit a Jekyll and Hyde when you compare his regular season performances to his postseason performances. He has record breaking regular season numbers (despite the fact that he heavily benefited from playing in a dome for most of his career) yet have nightmarish playoff performances. And his lone Super Bowl came against the Rex Grossman-led Chicago Bears (and that was mainly because of the Colts defense).

Yet he's supposed to be one of the GOAT QBs. :mjlol:

I was talking about his defense during his SB year. And even if you refuse to acknowledge the Colts defense that year, he's been playing with a great defense for the past 3 years and you cannot deny that.

And you act like Brady, Elway, and Favre had great defenses all throughout their careers.

Elway won back to back super bowls. Has Peyton?
