:AIwhat:

The season he won his Super Bowl, Peyton had one of the league's best defenses led by Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders. As a matter of fact, people who followed the Colts attribute the Super Bowl victory to the Colts' defense; it certainly wasn't because of Peyton's postseason performance. And since he's been in Denver, he's had an elite defense.

You haven't a clue.

:camby:

No he didn't.

Actual Facts:
-Bob Sanders, who "lead one of the best defenses in the league", played 4 out of 16 regular season games.
-Indy as a team gave up 22.5 points per game which was bottom 10 in the NFL.
-They gave up 332 yards per game, which was bottom 12.
-They gave up 4.3 yards per rush, which was bottom 10.
-At the time they were the WORST defense statistically to ever win a SB. It's possible this is no longer true.
-They gave up 375 rushing yards in a single game to the shytty ass Jags.

Team turned it up in the postseason but GTFO out of here with this baseless bullshyt.
I guess rewriting history to spin narratives is what's cool in 2015.

The year they won the SB, how many TDs did Peyton throw in the playoffs? How many INTs did he throw in that postseason?

No. fukk trying to move the goalposts. I'm not letting you slide on this trash posting.

Please explain to me how this is even remotely close to the truth. LOL at Bob Sanders leading the leagues best defense by missing 75% of the games. You clowns swear up and down Peyton is overrated but have to go to these extremes to try and tear him down. You must've been concussed during the 2006 season.

And LOL at a Patriots fan of all people trying to mock Peyton for the 2006 postseason.
Y'all must've forgot.

One of the greatest postseason comebacks of all time, happened against your cheating ass squad.

They played very well in the playoffs, but yeah nothing special in the regular season.

You have to admit that Manning's postseason record is pretty sad. And his postseason stats show a significant decline from this regular season stats. To deny that Manning's postseason career is an epic disappointment is to be delusional. I don't care how much of a Colts stan you are. Be objective.

Actually I'm bringing the conversation back to Peyton. And his playoffs record is shytty. Point. Blank. Period.

And the Colts defense won them the SB (granted it was against Rex Grossman) but that defense was SAVING Peyton's ass in the playoffs.

Bottom line: Peyton ain't bout it on the big stage.

I didn't deny shyt. I haven't said a word about Peyton's postseason record.

I'm pointing out that @SuperCoolP_Cal is an idiot for trying to act like the Colts had one of the leagues best defenses.

You wanna move the goalposts and try to change the subject cool, but that's horrible posting.

@Based Lord Zedd :patsfanumad: that Peyton will NEVER be considered the GOAT QB. :patsfanumad: that the Colts are perennial underachievers. :patsfanumad: that Peyton went out like a loser in that Super Bowl against the Seahawks only for Brady and the Patriots to win the SB the following season against the same Seahawks defense that emasculated Peyton. :patsfanhaha:

I'd be mad too if I had to support overrated QBs and underachieving teams. :laughingatyou:

But in the playoffs that year, the Colts defense stepped up BIG TIME and we're one of the best defenses of that playoffs.

The Colts have been overachieving since they got Luck.

So you went from Colts had one of the league's best defenses, to Colts had one of the best defenses of the playoffs.
Just admit you were wrong and keep it moving.
