She chose to give him access just because other women she looks up to gave him access. That does not demonstrate being a strong person, but instead a mentally weak follower to me. Instead of accepting him because other famous women accepted him, she could have at least asked the questions; "Why were they not with him now and why did the relationships he did have with them last such a short time?"

A strong woman would have demonstrated a bit of self-awareness and already figured out he was not worth her time. A weak woman follows the social herd, and then is upset with the poor results afterward.
