The fatigue argument is the most compelling, but if we take it into account then it's only fair to also take into account fear and lack of coordination amongst 100 randos

Also we see animals tiring out facing their peers or other significant threats but it doesn't take even a third of a gorilla's full strength to cave a man's face in or detach his lungs

I just don't see how the 100 humans win unless we stack every odd in their favor like Batman's authors do when they have him somehow beat intergalactic super intelligent threats
The gorilla would also be panicked and fearful trying to fight 100 humans. They're stronger and faster but gorillas don't have the stamina to kill 100 grown men, it'll be tired after killing the first dozen or so humans, and thats assuming the humans are sitting around waiting to be killed.

Realistically the gorilla would just run from that many humans

they could do 100 cats vs 1 man but there would be nothing left

Gotta get a gay nikka to stick his finger in the gorilla booty like the dude did with that pitbull
🤣
. It probably won't help none but the gorilla will be caught off guard.
when i got attacked by a pit bull i grabbed his nuts and YANKED. i mean hard. i went ultra joe budden trying to tear those shyts off. he got off me.

Hypothetically, yes—a team of 100 men could beat a silverback gorilla, but there are critical caveats:

1. Unarmed vs Armed:
  • Unarmed humans: A silverback gorilla is immensely strong—5 to 10 times stronger than a human, with incredible bite force and reflexes. If the 100 men are unarmed, many would likely be seriously injured or killed before subduing the gorilla, but sheer numbers could eventually overpower it through attrition.
  • Armed humans: If the group had nets, spears, or even blunt objects, the outcome shifts dramatically. They could coordinate a strategy to pin, injure, or kill the gorilla from relative safety.

2. Training and Coordination:
  • 100 random, untrained men would likely panic or act inefficiently.
  • 100 trained military or martial arts personnel working as a unit could execute coordinated takedowns, flanks, and subduing techniques, greatly increasing their odds
3. Environment Matters:
  • In an open arena, 100 men have room to maneuver and surround the gorilla.
  • In tight quarters, the gorilla’s raw power gives it a huge advantage.

Conclusion:
  • Physically possible? Yes, especially with minimal tools or coordination.
  • At what cost? Potentially dozens of human injuries or fatalities depending on preparedness.

Here’s a step-by-step simulation of a hypothetical battle between a silverback gorilla and 100 unarmed but coordinated men in a neutral arena setting:

Setting
  • Location: Open, flat arena (like a gymnasium-sized ring)
  • Participants:
    • 1 adult male silverback gorilla (~400 lbs, 6 ft tall when upright)
    • 100 fit, adult men (mixed martial artists, wrestlers, and athletes;
PHASE 1: Initial Contact (Seconds 0–15)
  • 10 men form a distraction circle, drawing the gorilla’s attention.
  • Gorilla charges with explosive speed, immediately mauls 1-2 men, tossing one ~10 feet, breaking ribs and concussing another.
  • The other 8 retreat; gorilla roars, asserting dominance.
  • Casualties: 2 severely injured humans. Gorilla: Unharmed.

PHASE 2: Surround and Harass (Seconds 15–60)
  • 40 men form a wider semi-circle, rotating and throwing jackets, yelling, creating confusion.
  • Gorilla charges again, grabs another man by the leg, breaks his femur, and tosses him.
  • As the gorilla turns to the next target, 6 men rush in from behind, grabbing its legs and back.
Casualties: 1 more seriously injured. Gorilla: Beginning to fatigue slightly.

PHASE 3: Swarm Tactics (Minute 1–2)
  • The rear attackers cling tightly, attempting to restrict movement.
  • 20 more men swarm the gorilla, targeting arms and head.
  • The gorilla slams several to the ground, injuring 3–4 more, but it’s now overwhelmed by sheer mass.
  • 10 men form a human wall on the edges to block escape.
Casualties: 5–7 total humans injured or out. Gorilla: Bleeding, but still fighting.

PHASE 4: Overpowering and Subduing (Minute 2–4)
  • 60+ men now engaged; they dogpile the gorilla.
  • Several anchor its limbs, others apply chokes or body weight compression.
  • Gorilla is still dangerous, managing to bite a man’s arm and throw off two others.
  • But oxygen depletion and mass pinning takes over.

Casualties: 8–10 severe human injuries, including broken limbs and bites. Gorilla: Losing consciousness.

PHASE 5: Outcome (Minute 4+)
  • Gorilla is eventually subdued, breathing heavily, immobilized.
  • Depending on intent, the team could neutralize (kill) or trap it.
  • At least 15 men are seriously injured, some critically, but victory achieved through numbers and coordination.

Final Tally

CategoryGorillaHumans
OutcomeDefeated, potentially killedVictory through attrition and tactics
InjuredLikely fatal wounds15+ severely injured, 30+ minor injuries
Key FactorsRaw power, speed, bite forceTeamwork, coordination, overwhelming numbers

Verdict:

Victory is possible for 100 humans—but it would be brutal, chaotic, and come at a high cost. In real life, it would be incredibly unethical and dangerous to attempt. But in pure theory: yes, 100 men could beat a silverback gorilla.
An AI with TOS restrictions made this. A gorilla mauls humans but no one dies. Meanwhile, in the real world, a chimp can body parts off like paper.

Human can win this but many would die. You'd just have to find people who'd be unbothered by seeing others torn to pieces....or unafraid of that happening to them....people brave/stupid enough to charge a physically superior creature, unarmed. While being in peak physical condition themselves.

100 average size men, 6 feet, 200 pounds.

Vs.

1 6 feet+, 400+ pound gorilla.

I'm going with the swarm.

first off, fukk that no weapons stuff. i'm out if that's what they're doing. i'd rather find sticks and stones and fight buddy alone like arnold in predator. 100 men easily win if armed with even the most basic weapons.

unarmed is a completely different story. a silver back with any ounce of survival instinct will run through the crowd, injure, maim, then finish off the stragglers. only way 100 men win is if the gorilla just stands there. yall getting waxed by a scared motivated silver back.

As he’s ripping arms he’s being attacked. As he’s biting he’s being attacked. y’all are crazy

You realize our punches and kicks are like infants punching and kicking us?

It can probably take its time and casually pluck arms and legs off while brehs windmilling and breaking their own bones hitting him.

I guess many people don’t understand the fear and shock your body experience just from being NEAR an uncaged animal weighing 500 lbs. ANY animal over 300 lbs will make your knees weak.

Yall say the sim isn't realistic because the people just standing around and swinging at the air? Yall realize that's how it would be in real life? The ni99as in the back would be praying and crying. Ni99as would run up to hit the ape and their knees would give out when they get there.

100 modern men are losing to a gorilla.

100 of our feral wild ancestors are killing a gorilla.

They'd chase that thing down until it was tired and spear it to death.

:mjlol:The original scenario was that everybody was bloodlust. Irl a gorilla is running away from 100 humans. And humans aren’t willing fighting a gorilla lol.
